Various Game Maps

One might think I'm crazy (I do too myself every now and then) since I find drawing straight lines again and again fascinating but there isn't quite anything like it when you see your own map finished in all its glory. I can guarantee that I put thought into nearly every single line drawn.

The maps tell untold stories of epic games yet to be materialized outside of my own head, sadly. On the other hand, I do hope that they could inspire someone else to imagine a game around them and maybe even pass a few seconds in that imaginary world. That's why I so love examining all kinds of maps since they don't need actual games around them to be inspiring, all they require is some imagination and an adventurous spirit to be much more than just a picture.
This was made 2D Metroids in my mind. It represents some kind of a group of space stations familiar to the series. The greyed areas are "secret areas" in the style of Metroid Fusion, discovering those was always so exciting!

(Where's the next 2D Metroid Nintendo? ;_;)
This should be looking somewhat familiar to Pokémon fans! A map like this could be featured in a Pokémon MMO if it were to exist.
After I finished Castlevania: Symphony of The Night (which was excellent, by the way) I just got this uncontrollably feeling of making a map of a castle of my own. The end result is probably the most confusing of the bunch since it's the most dense making different areas, rooms and empty space almost impossible to separate from each other without zooming in. That's why I decided to put in some colour!
Much clearer, isn't it? Now you can easily tell the difference between the different areas in the castle and get a better understanding on the sturcture of the castle. There is actually a set path to follow which takes you through all areas all the way to the final boss. You can only pass a number/letter/purple door if you're collected a coloured ball that has the same number/letter/purple bar inside it (on the upper version).

Those are the bigger maps I've drawn but I'll also throw here all other conceptual maps I have made.
